Updated June 27, 2021

Victoria Bley.com values your privacy. We believe that how you use the internet, legally, and what you say, legally, is your business and your business alone. We want you to enjoy your visit here and return again and again. Below, please see our policies about your security and your data, how it is used and stored, and most of all how we protect it.

Our site uses SSL to protect your data, which ensures that everything sent to or from our server is encrypted.  Additionally, we use very powerful security software to protect the integrity of this site, and in turn your data.

The only information we store on our website is information that you provide freely.

Comments

To allow for discussion, you have the opportunity to post comments on this website. The information collected includes your name, email address, and your comments. If you ever wish to have your comments removed, send us a quick note through the Contact Form and we’ll remove them.

To protect our site from spam, your information is compared with a list of known spam senders by CleanTalk. CleanTalk only stores your information for a few days to give us time to contest its decision as to whether you are a spammer or not.

Newsletters

We collect your name IP address and email address so that we can send you infrequent updates about what is going on in our world. Want to be removed from this list?  Click unsubscribe at the bottom of any newsletter.

In addition, the newsletters do send a message back to our website when they are opened. This helps us to better design our future content. We store statistics about whether you’ve opened the newsletters or not.

Contact Form

Our contact form requests your name, email address, the subject and message that you wish to send us. Your IP address is also captured by the system. This information is checked for spam as noted above and then transmitted to us via email.  It is not stored on our website. During that transmission, the data will be sent through normal email channels.

Use of Cookies

We use cookies on this Site to insure the integrity of the registration process and to personalize the site. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issues the cookie to you. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. For example, if you personalize a web page, or navigate within a site, a cookie helps the site to recall your specific information on subsequent visits.  This simplifies the process of delivering relevant content, eases site navigation, and so on. When you return to the website, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the sites features that you customized.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Many web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of this or other websites you visit.

A Note to International Users

This site is hosted in the United States. If you are accessing the site from outside the United States, by providing your information to the site, you are consenting to the transfer of your information to the United States for processing and maintenance in accordance with this Privacy Notice. You are also consenting to the application of United States law in all matters concerning this Site.

Sadly, there are many people who would love to fill any website with spam comments. Our site is no exception.  We use CleanTalk to provide anti-spam services. As such, your comment information will be sent to them for the sole purpose of checking it for spam. CleanTalk works hard to keep data sent from the EU in the EU and data sent from other continents on that continent. If you are concerned with their processing of your data, we urge you not to leave comments.

This is a public website. Once you post a comment, anyone can read it. Please use caution when posting any sensitive information.
